Colombian icon Shakira releases Fusion Latina, an album that blends influences from Latin pop, reggaeton and Indian classical music. Shakira collaborates with AR Rahman and Colombian producer Rude Boy at AIR Studios, a $9 million cross-cultural production center. Lead single "Raíces del Mundo," a fusion of flamenco guitar and sitar melodies, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Latin Music chart and broke Spotify's global record with 12 million streams in its first week. The global campaign prioritized markets in India and the Middle East, where the album's danceable beats and bilingual lyrics resonated widely. Proceeds from merchandise sales will go toward supporting music schools in Bogota, continuing Shakira's commitment to youth education in Latin America.
